Florida Preservation Atlas

Florida's local historic and archaeological protection and preservation programs.

Florida Preservation Atlas is a directory of Florida's local historic preservation programs, including links to local archaeological site protections. The Atlas provides an interactive map of Florida's Certified Local Governments and Florida Mainstreets. Within the interactive map, locations of historic and archaeological districts and individually listed properties are identified.

The Florida Preservation Atlas is an update of the Local Government Preservation Program Directory, which was coordinated by the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) in 2007. FPAN completed the effort on behalf of the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation and the Division of Historical Resources. At the time, the Florida Trust requested that the Directory have as its central component an electronic database that can be made available online.
